Pricing

Every plan aims for the most after-tax money. High is our most precise search, with 5 a month on every plan. Low and Medium are faster but may end a little lower, and both are unlimited. The planner shows the estimated time first.

Your account and first calculation are free, with everything Pro shows; then choose a subscription. Each plan keeps the detail of the subscription it was run on.

Plus any applicable tax. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel any time in Profile. OptiRoth is software for financial professionals, not investment, tax or legal advice.

What the simulation includes

Built into the calculation, not left to a footnote.

Federal tax
2026 brackets and deductions, including the 2025 to 2028 deduction for people 65 and older.
Social Security
Benefit taxation, spousal benefits, payroll tax, and the earnings test (benefits withheld while working before full retirement age).
Medicare
Premiums, including IRMAA surcharges for higher income two years earlier.
Required minimum distributions
Required yearly IRA withdrawals in your client's 70s, including delaying the first to April 1.
Account rules
Basis (after-tax money in the IRA), the pro-rata rule, the 10% penalty before 59½, and Roth 5-year rules.
State tax
All 50 states and DC: brackets, Social Security treatment, and retirement exclusions, including whether a conversion counts. Local taxes, like New York City's, aren't included.
Return limits
Returns have upper limits, and the Roth return can be at most 2 points above the Traditional return, so no one can make a plan look better with unrealistic returns.

A folder for every client

Every plan is saved in your client's folder, so you can reopen, compare or rerun it when things change.

Questions advisors ask

Is OptiRoth tax or investment advice?

No. It's a planning tool for financial professionals and recommends no investments. Results depend on your assumptions, and the advice you give is your own.

What is it trying to maximize?

The money your client has left after taxes at the end of the plan, counting IRA money after the tax it would owe when withdrawn.

Which states are supported?

All 50 states and DC, with 2026 rules. Local taxes, like New York City's, aren't included, and the client is assumed to stay in one state.

Does it handle married couples and single clients?

Yes. Choose "Married couple" or "Single client" in the planner. For couples it tests both spouses' Social Security ages.

Do I need an account?

Yes, and it's free, as is your first calculation. Plans take minutes to hours, so your account holds them in client folders and we email you when one is ready. You can see a sample plan without an account.
